As the winter loses its power over Camelot, a young woman arrives to be Merlin’s apprentice. Knowing that magic is prosecuted in Arthur’s lands, she has to hide the true nature of her powers and her connection to the druids.
Alane finds herself drawn to one of the Knights of the Round Table, Gawain, who changes her perspective on her own thoughts, and she quickly realizes what a wonderful friend he is. Every time she is around Gawain, there is a shadow following them – his brother, sir Mordred, who seems to be cold as ice, desperately trying to prove to himself and to the king. Is he a perfect knight?
As the time passes, Alane and Mordred find themselves entangled in a series of events, forcing them to work together and depend on each other despite everything. With her magical secret, she has to be careful in Camelot, knowing the punishment for being a magic user. With Mordred trying to fight his own inner thoughts, he is forced to look at the world from a different perspective and ask himself what is more important. The danger is looming over Camelot and King Arthur’s life is at stake.

Will Alane and Mordred figure out what is happening?
Will they find a way to save Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table?
What lies and secrets have to be discovered or told?
