Returning to school for their second year, Brooke and Rylan must both face the secrets they keep. With summer come and gone Brooke has found strength in her hydrokinesis, but has also gained new scars she will have to hide if she hopes to keep her lycanthropy a secret. With her first year come and gone, Rylan realizes that she took for granted the freedom she had at school and is reminded once again that as the heir to the Varela family she must be the best of her year. It is yet another reminder to her that she has to keep her shapeshifting abilities a secret or risk her father’s wrath.

When the time comes for the second year students to learn about werewolves, shapeshifters and other hybrids, both Brooke and Rylan become fearful that their secrets will become obvious to their friends. Will they make it through the year with their secrets still hidden? Or will they have to face their friends and the consequences that come with keeping such volatile secrets under wraps?
