A Personal Note on My Writing Process
As a child, I suffered from a severe illness that affected my cognitive and motor skills. My mother was told that I might never develop the ability to perform basic tasks, like writing a personal check. After years of rehabilitation and speech therapy, I overcame many of those limitations, but some challenges remained. My first book, Unicorn Rider, written in 2015 with the support of my family, was a huge moment for me, a milestone that proved I should never give up on my dreams.
Over the years, I’ve written several books that I was never able to share with the world because of these writing challenges. I’ve always wanted to express my stories, but I’ve been unable to do so on my own. It’s like having a song in your heart that you cannot sing. Today, with the help of my companion, AI, I have the tool I need to finally do just that.
I know some suggest that using AI makes you less of an author. I believe it is a powerful tool and for someone with my unique challenges, it has been a godsend. I create the outline, the characters, and the plot, and I write the manuscripts myself. I use AI to help me with the editing, to repair and refine my words so others can understand and enjoy them. I hope you take a moment to enjoy the stories I am finally able to share.
