Ally (Allison) Kelly is a writer living in eastern Connecticut, USA, is owned by her orange cat, Merlin, and works part time in retail. Ally has been writing stories since she was young, and has grown fond of the fantasy genre over the years. She especially enjoys writing stories with dragons and fairies in them.

In 2016, Ally created an online writing community called Worldsmyths. Since then, the community has flourished. Worldsmyths Publishing, a non-profit indie publishing company, was established in 2021 to celebrate the five year anniversary of the community. Worldsmyths has since published multiple short story collections, a few of which Ally is published in.

Thorns Among Shadows is Ally’s first official publication as an indie author, and her first fairytale retelling. She has thoroughly enjoyed writing this book, and hopes to continue with more retellings in the future!
